Poetry
I write poems! I know everyone and their angsty teenaged dog writes poems, but it’s something I take quite seriously. Which is not meant as a put down of your angsty teenaged dog’s poetry, which I’m sure is also very good. Also cool that your dog can write.
My poetry is often narrative and surreal. It’s not as experimental as I like to think it is. Pretty much all of it is sad in one way or another. I try not to write about myself but sometimes I fail. Currently I am putting together a very short collection about people turning into dogs.
You can read one HERE, and some HERE. The ones at that latter link are fairly old now, and definitely feel like an immature voice to me in places, but there’s certainly stuff I still stand by.
If you want me to write a poem for you personally, pay me money and I will do it.
If you’re organising a thing, and want me to read a poem at your thing - chances are I would be down for reading a poem at your thing. For a fee if it’s the sort of thing where fees get paid to people? At the very least a pint couldn’t hurt.
