Something In Your Voice was a show by Emergency Chorus, still in development. I collaborated on the development of the show, and composed the sound for the most recent showing.

Speed Death of the Radiant Child; 2017

I sound designed this show, written by Chris Goode and directed by Ben Kulvichit.

This was the first time I through composed a show, and where I started thinking of sound for  stage in terms of evolving and responsive soundworlds, rather than just a bunch of songs. (Though I do love writing songs! Ask me to write a song for you! I will do it! For money cash and dollars!) Some of the drones are a bit basic, and there’s the odd piece that relies a little too conspicuously on MIDI instruments, but by and large I’m pretty proud of it, the big ending sequence especially.

The full soundtrack is available (for free) on my bandcamp, HERE.

I should note, I guess, that I’m aware of the things Chris did and I understand if people feel weird about giving a platform to his work. I don’t really think that’s what I’m doing here - this soundtrack was made when I was a student, in sole collaboration with other students and friends, and I think it stands on its own as a piece of work. I put a lot of work into it, and I’d like to be able to salvage it as my own, as much as possible.
