Hi! I’m Nat. I’m a writer, director and sound designer. On self initiated projects, I sometimes go by the moniker why this sky. I do dramaturgy sometimes, and occasionally perform if I absolutely have to or if somebody asks me very nicely.

I often make sound that is warm and electronic, and performance that is cold and organic. I care about performance as an externalised physical system, things standing in for other things, rupture and collapse, cosmic joy, maths, and metaphysics.

All of my work is quite sad. It isn’t exactly deliberate, but it keeps happening.

I am an associate artist of Emergency Chorus, and have worked with a variety of artists as a composer. Work I have made or collaborated on has been shown at venues including Warwick Arts Centre, HOME, Camden People’s Theatre, The New Diorama, The Wardrobe Theatre, Bristol Old Vic & Reinbeckhallen (Berlin). I have an MA in performance design and practise from Central Saint Martins, and a BSc in maths from Warwick University.
